Towns & Neighborhoods: The Bricks
The original Bricks was erected by Roswell King in 1840, as apartments for factory workers in the nearby Roswell Mill, and is one of the first apartment buildings constructed in the U.S. Located in the historic heart of the Mill District in Roswell, Georgia, directly above the Chattahoochee River with its fifty miles of trails, the setting is an urban ideal. Using salvaged materials, Lew Oliver, in conjunction with the Macallan Group, renovated and expanded the Greek Revival gem, transforming it into twenty-first-century townhouses.
